06 dicembre Renovation Rescue Update # 4Hi folks,
Well its been a couple of months since I posted an update on the state of our renovations. Over the last couple of months we have had alot of rain which hasn't helped at all but despite that we have managed to push along and make progress. Today; as i type this the brick layers are working on the outside of the house which is great. So now we finally have the roof on which of course means we won't be affected by any rain. The windows are in; tiling for bathrooms have arrived and guttering is going in. All our appliances for the kitchen have arrived and we had those in the lounge room for a month but thankfully those are now out the back.
So its all go now and over the weekend we even had our first barbecue out the back since the renovations started. We just setup a table in what will be our new lounge room and sat amongst the dirt and dust. It wasn't bad at all and the kids still had fun!
Speaking of the kids having fun check out this photo taken today of my son Jamie in his lion suit. He is finding his owns ways to amuse himself and the builders!

Until next time!  07 settembre Renovation Rescue Update #3Well we are a month into renovating and we are all coping well even though half the house is a mess.
This week the builders have begun to lay the foundation for the new part of the house. The concrete was poured last week and they have begun to lay bricks up to where the floor level will be.
We can now start to see what the shape is going to be like and I've published some new photos to the renovations picture library so you can get an idea.
Until next time... 24 agosto Renovation Rescue: Update #2Hi folks,
Well we are into week 3 of our renovations and things are really starting to shape up. All the concrete that was in the backyard has been taken away and the builders are now in the early stages of preparing the foundations for the new part of the house.
Today they dug trenches and laid metal reinforcements and tomorrow they will be pouring the concrete for the foundation. The back yard is a series of holes and we have trenches dug almost all around the house. When I got home tonight it was a challenge just getting inside! Anyway progress is a good thing.

Well after a year of waiting and dealing with our local council we have finally started the renovations on our house. While I was in the US for 2 weeks construction or shall I say demolition of our house began. I got home to see 2 holes in my house and half of it gone! Awesome! My wife is naturally relieved to see some work finally beginning and my son is enjoying all the trucks that are at the house everyday!

Well its been way too long since I've posted anything to my space so I thought it was about time for a little update. I've been very busy over the last few months with work and family. The kids are growing up fast so I've posted some new photos of them. Check out My Family album as I've updated it with some new photos of the kids. I've also created a special album for my little girl Darcey. She has just turned 1 and is a terror already. Although you wouldn't know it by the photos.
As for the work front I'm off to Seattle next week to attend TechReady which is the annual technical conference for MS folks in the field. Should be fun.

I was able to blog this entry directly from the new MSN toolbar. I simply went to the site below and simply clicked on the Spaces tab on the toolbar and said Blog It to my space. I decided to try out the new Konica Minolta Dimage X50 that I recently bought for my wife and see how the flash works in the dark. The result is the photo below. Well folks we had to do it! My wife went and bought a animated singing Santa. Jamie loves it and wants it on constantly. To activate you just have to touch it or clap your hands and he starts to sing Christmas songs. The photo below was capture when our little Santa was in full song. All I can say is "5 shillings for the possessed toy"!!
Woo Hoo! MSN Spaces BETA has launched today and is way cool! So what is MSN Spaces? In a nutshell its a place where consumers can create a personal space and connect to others in a rich and dynamic way. i've posted this Blog entry using my new MSN space which is really cool.
